100 Burpee Challenge
100 Burpee Challenge!
When: Starting June 1, 2010
Where: At CFSP, at home, or anywhere!
Why:
- For fun
- For fitness
- For a cash prize!
How:
On Day 1, start with 2 Burpees. Each day, add 2 more Burpees to the total, until Day 50, when you will complete 100 Burpees. (For example: Day 1 = 2 Burpees. Day 2 = 4 Burpees. Day 3 = 6, Day 4 = 8, and so on.)
You may break up the Burpees you have to do throughout the day as desired, however all Burpees must be completed on that day. Any Burpees done during the WOD can be counted toward that day’s total. Extra Burpees may not be ‘banked’ for future days.
You are on the honor system - if you miss a day, you must make up the missed Burpees on the following day in addition to the current day’s Burpees. Skipping days and not making them up is unfair to the other participants in the challenge - if you feel inclined to do so you are welcome to drop out of the challenge with no questions asked.
The Cash Prize:
To enter the challenge, there is a $10 buy-in. The buy-in is due by June 1.
The male and female athlete with the best percentage improvement of their 100 Burpee time will split the pot.
Competitors must have a baseline time for 100 Burpees. If you completed the 100 Burpees WOD on May 20, 2010 you may use that as a baseline; otherwise you have until June 1 to set your baseline.
Latecomers may enter the challenge at any time before June 10 by submitting their $10 buy-in and doing all of the Burpees they have missed. No late entry will be allowed after June 10.

Pretty sure I wrote down the wrong time in my log the other day - I’ll change it tomorrow to 13:25. I’m not trying to cheat, I swear!

Is anyone interested in doing a 100 Burpees for their baseline time on Saturday (5/29/10) morning at open gym?
I am interested, Lesha.. I have no desire to use my weighted time, cause that means I’ll have to do all my training in a vest.. This is slightly dependent on when my sister rolls out of bed to take me to the beach, so cross your fingers for her to sleep in late!
So do we get a couple bonus points for doing the challenge with the wait vest?

Hey, Just to let people know of an added bonus they can do along with this challenge.
The 100 Push Up challenge!
Basically, you do an extra push-up at the bottom of each burpee. I am doing it, with the hope of improving my Cindy and Angie scores (and of course Murph too!).
That challenge sucks. I’m in.
I did my 4 burpees today. I swear I did.
I closed my office door and did my 4 burpees. In a skirt!
