In addition to the CrossFit program at Fearless Athletics | CrossFit South Philly, we offer several other options for athletes with specific goals and interests.
All of our classes are taught in small groups to allow for greater individualized attention. Safety is always top-of-mind at Fearless Athletics, and because of this some programs may require introductory training or trainer approval before registering.
Intensity Program
Intensity features all of the same components of CrossFit with an emphasis on building cardiovascular endurance and muscular stamina. We remove all barbell components (squats, presses, deadlifts, Olympic Weightlifting) of the CrossFit regimen. We then add in the use of dumbbells and many bodyweight exercises to compliment the kettlebell work, medicine ball movements, running, rowing, jumping and more.
Olympic Weightlifting
The Fearless Athletics Olympic Weightlifting class (aka Iron Cathedral) is specifically focused on improving the Olympic lifts: the Snatch, and, the Clean & Jerk. Each class consists of a breakdown of movement to develop precise form, execution, speed and strength of these highly technical movements.
Powerlifting
The Powerlifting programming focuses on six core lifts: the low bar back squat, bench press, deadlift, front squat, strict press, and power clean. Each of these lifts is tested, then built, and then retested.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics classes at Fearless Athletics | CrossFit South Philly are designed to prepare all members for mastery of the most important tool we use in CrossFit and Intensity training—the human body. Once an athlete has an understanding of how to move his/her own body’s weight through space, the understanding and ability to move objects becomes much clearer.
