Paleo Pancakes with Apple Sauce
Pancakes paleo style
Ingredients:
- 2-3 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- bunch of shakes of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1-2 tsp vanilla extract
Add a splash or two of almond milk if the mixture needs to be thinned out a little. You may need to add some salt if your almond butter is super natural and doesn’t contain any additional salt. Mix well and slap on pancake griller.
You can adjust the measure ments for more and add whatever you want – e.g. blueberries. I’m sure adding mashed bananas would also make it sweeter (even though that’s not paleo).
I also think that these could easily be modified to be used as fritters. Just sub the berries for grilled veggies. Yum!
