What, pray tell, is the deal with knees-to-elbows/toes-to bar? We’ve had multiple people from other places surprised lately about how we do things with regards to knees-to-elbows/toes-to-bar and our folks who have competed have remarked on it as well. It was not us that changed the rules. In this era of increased CF competition, the body control element that this exercise was meant for often gets put aside for “more work faster”. That is a personal choice which we respect. It is not, however, how we roll. Check out what CF HQ has to say on the subject: http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_Knees2Elbows.mov ( click here for Window’s media version if you prefer). That is how we roll.

Thanks for posting that vid, Eric. Part of virtuosity is the ability to control your body. Practicing K2E and TTB slowly, without allowing yourself to kip, is an excellent way to develop both body control and core strength.
Now I can’t wait to start working on Toes-to-Rings and Hips-to-Bar!
