Sets Across
For the strength portion of Tuesday’s WOD, we worked on sets across. Quite a few of us found this to be significantly more challenging than our usual ascending set format.
What did you think? Post to comments!
And a HUGE shout-out goes to Jim who really struggled to get his first muscle-up! It was truly inspiring to watch. We’re all proud of you, Jim!

Yeah the deadlifts were a lot harder then I thought they would be, Rob K. warned me but I guess i needed to learn myself. I didn’t finish the Deadlift portion. There is always next time!
I thought that it was very difficult, but I wonder if we should have rested a little longer between sets? Also, I want to thank Topper, Goose, and Nick for personnally pushing me through my first muscle-up, and thanks to everyone that was in the gym that cheered me on. Thank you.
Nice job Jim! Welcome to the muscle-up club!!!
jim, that was awesome.
Yay muscle-ups! Ya’ll will be doing “Amanda” in no time!
Jim, that’s great news! congrats!
Jim, watching you get that muscle-up was awesome! You really showed some incredible determination completing the move!
Jim, you are my hero. Congratulations! I’m bummed I missed it, so I guess you’ll just have to do another one.
Just for you Kate, but just one. Now with Cyd’s help maybe I can get those damn HSPUs. By the way thanks everyone.
Hey Cydney, can you also help me with handstands? I can do them but I have a curve in my back that I just can’t seem to straighten! I saw you doing them last time and you were straight as a board.
You can also work with Lee - what he learned at his gymnastic cert will come in handy to clean up your handstands, muscle ups, and more!
thanks Wil!
